Beyond Lessons: ECAs

E-mail Print PDF

One of the best ways for pupils to get the most out of their time at Haileybury Astana is to get involved in anyone of the huge numbers of extra-curricular-activities (ECAs).   We offer our pupils a large selection of Extra-Curricular Activities including sports, academic and art clubs.  They are a superb way of deepening existing interests and skills and acquiring new ones.  Activities are on offer to pupils in Year One and above, and take place at lunchtimes from 1.10-145pm and after school from 4.00-5.00pm.  The ECA timetable changes termly and pupils sign up for clubs for the full length of the term. All pupils should aim to do at least two ECAs each term, and pupils sign up for the programme at the beginning of each term.

Sport has a high profile here with a number of matches being played during the week and sometimes at weekends. The coaching is as committed as it is excellent.  The activities programme is largely free, though some specialist activities or those off-site may incur a charge.

A good record of skills, activities and interests could one day boost an application to the best universities or with a CV when applying for a job.
